Network systems biology is expected to drive biological research in the coming decades. This discipline aims to describe the physical and functional interactions of cellular biomolecules that mediate the diverse complex biological processes crucial to human health and disease.
The Collaboratory for Network Systems Biology at the Knight Cancer institute supports ambitious research initiatives to map protein interaction networks in different biomedical contexts. A number of scientists are affiliated with the CNSB, but some of the main faculty driving the innovative science of the CNSB are those of the Emili lab.
